FLT Driver - Southampton

Forklift Truck (FLT) Driver– Warehouse Fit-Out Project (26 Weeks)
Location: Southampton - SO16

Rate: Competitive/Negotiable (DOE)

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Freelance Site Supervisor to support the delivery of a full warehouse fit-out project commencing on 1st September 2025.

Project Overview:

A comprehensive 26-week programme involving the Installation of a 3-tier mezzanine floor, refrigeration and freezer units, full facilities fit-out, flooring, ceilings, security cameras.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload deliveries, ensuring goods are handled with care to avoid damage
  • Transport materials and equipment around site to support various trades and work areas
  • Store materials safely and securely in designated areas, maintaining good housekeeping
  • Assist with site logistics, including setting up laydown areas and managing material flow
  • Support site supervisors with moving equipment, temporary works, and waste removal when needed

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Carry out daily equipment checks and report any faults or defects immediately
  • Ensure all lifting and moving activities comply with site safety regulations
  • Use correct PPE at all times and follow site safety procedures
  • Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings when required
  • Remain vigilant and report unsafe practices or hazards on site
